This applies to the majority of people who are grieving and involves providing information on the grieving process, practical help with tasks, and social support. Family, friends and colleagues will provide much of this support.
This applies to a smaller percentage of people who need extra support with their grief. This could be because of the nature of the loss e.g. death of a child. Voluntary bereavement support services, self-help groups, faith groups and community groups provide much of the support at this level.
