Nationwide put the spotlight on The Irish Hospice Foundation’s Design & Dignity Project on Friday with a focus on Mercy University Hospital in Cork, Beaumont Hospital and the Mater in Dublin.
The programme showcased three projects which benefited from the Design & Dignity grants scheme which is operated and co-funded by the IHF and the HSE. A family room has created a sense of calm on a busy ward in The Mater, while both MUH and Beaumont Hospital have benefited from revamped mortuaries.
To date 11 projects have been funded across the country under the Design & Dignity scheme at a cost of €1.5m.
