The pages list by county all hospice/palliative care services in Ireland. This includes in-patient hospice units, palliative home care services and palliative care services in general hospitals. Palliative care beds in community hospitals are also included.
- There are nine inpatient hospices in Ireland. These cater for patients living within their catchment area only
- Most hospice/palliative care in Ireland is delivered in the form of home care. Sometimes referred to as ‘specialist palliative care in the community’. These home care services are available in every county

While hospice/palliative care services in Ireland receive funding from the public health service, they rely heavily on voluntary fundraising. There are local hospice fundraising groups in every county. Fundraisers’ details are included at the bottom of the page for each county on the map.
