We can only run our services and deliver quality care for people at end of life with the commitment and experience of our professional staff. As at 31st December 2018 we employed a Chief Executive Officer and an additional thirty five staff, including fourteen part-time, in the areas of education and training, bereavement, healthcare programmes, advocacy, communications, administration and fundraising.
Our Senior Management Team
Our Senior Management Team leads the organisation and is made up of 5 individuals as follows:

- Orla Keegan – Head of Education and Bereavement Services
- Andy Caffrey – Head of Finance and Corporate Support Services
- Helen McVeigh – Director of Fundraising
- Siobán O’Brien Green – Head of Healthcare Programmes
We welcome transparency on charity salaries, and have adopted the Standards of Recommended Practice for Charities (SORP) which recommends the reporting of all salaries over €70,000 in bands of €10,000.
The CEO of The Irish Hospice Foundation earns an annual salary of €113,077.
In 2013, all senior management including the CEO voluntarily took a 5.5% pay reduction which remains in force. The remuneration of the Senior Management Team is reviewed annually and is benchmarked against pay levels in other similar organisations as well as against similar grades in the HSE. The Finance and Remuneration Committee carried out this review in 2019 and was satisfied that the Foundation’s remuneration was in line with comparable organisations.
