The beautiful and poignant House of Memory from Architecture at The Edge will feature at Galway Arts Festival this year. Designed by architect David Kelly, House of Memory is one of the projects that came out of IHF’s Seed Grants scheme, in partnership with The Creative Ireland programme, to inspire and support creative responses to the themes of dying, death and bereavement during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Members of the public are invited to visit the House of Memory and grieve losses experienced as a result of the pandemic, leaving a memento or message behind to create a collaborative community installation.
It opens 1st Sept at Galway Festival Gallery
Where: Festival Gallery, Galway
When: 1-18 September 2021. Monday – Sunday, 12 noon – 6pm. Late Opening Friday only to 8pm
