Poems for When You Can’t Find the Words

poems for when you cant find the words poetry book

Our book of poetry, ‘Poems for When You Can’t Find the Words’, edited by Mary Shine Thompson, will be published by Gill Books this autumn.

This collection provides the gift of words at a time when words can be hard to find and is designed to speak to the fears and concerns that illness and approaching death awaken.

Created in conjunction with Poetry Ireland and including poems from Seamus Heaney, Brendan Kennelly, Emily Dickinson and Paul Durcan, plus new commissions, this is a collection of words to comfort in the most troubled times. Whether you or a loved one are facing the end of life, or if you’re grieving the loss of someone close, you will find solace and refuge here.

If you would like to pre-order a copy for yourself or as a gift for a friend, you can pre-order now on the Easons, Dubray Books or Book Station web sites. It will be available in all good bookshops from September 1st.
