When Someone Dies: A Bereavement Information Evening for the Public
The South Dublin Bereavement Network is hosting this free information evening for the public on Thursday, May 23. This event for anyone who is bereaved, supporting someone who is bereaved, or works in the community supporting those who are bereaved.
For those unable to attend in person, this event will be live streamed via Zoom.

Speaker
Bryan Nolan has worked in the area of end-of-life and bereavement care for many years. He regularly hosts information sessions with both the public and professionals on topics such as supporting people and their families at end of life. Bryan also supports families who require additional support to cope with the loss of a loved one.
Who will find this event helpful?
- Anyone who is bereaved. The death may have been through illness or sudden death. You may have experienced the loss of a partner, parent, child, grandchild, friend, sibling, colleague or relative. The death may have been a recent death or a death from many years ago.
- Anyone who is supporting a family member or friend who is bereaved.
- Anyone who works in the community and may have a role in supporting those who have been bereaved.
What will happen at the event?
- 7:00 pm: Tea/coffee on arrival
- 7:30 pm: An information talk
- 8:00 pm: Q&A session with a panel of people with lived experience of bereavement
- Bereavement service stands: Representatives from a range of local bereavement supports will host a stand at the event.
