Take on a personal challenge
Rain or shine and with her baby Doireann in tow in her buggy, the wonderful Jennifer Chard ran 10km everyday for 10 days through the mountains and hills of Wicklow and raised a whopping €1,287 for IHF.
IHF Heroes Hugh Morgan and Paddy Hamilton truly went the extra mile in support of the work of IHF. In October 2021 they took on the toughest footrace on earth, Marathon Des Sables. Read more about Team Morgan’s challenge.
Over the years Mary has volunteered in many groups and organisations. She became aware of IHF’s Bereavement Support Line and she wanted to do something to help. So, during the last weekend in April 2021, Mary ran 10km to raise much needed funds. Read more about Mary’s 10km run.
Make something and sell it
Fashion designer Aideen Bodkin founded Masks that Matter in March 2020 after selling out of a limited edition collection of Liberty Print face masks, with all proceeds from the first edition being donated to Irish Hospice Foundation. Read more about Aideen’s masks
Sharon Shannon recorded a CD of songs 12 years ago to mark the death of her partner, Leo. Sharon originally made a small number of copies for friends and family but in 2020 decided to produce 1000 copies in aid of our partner charity Rosabel’s Rooms. Read more about the Songs for Leo CD.
Donate a service
Almost qualified Reflexology and Holistic Massage students held student clinics offering discounted sessions at Golden Egg Holistic in Portlaoise and donated the proceeds to IHF. Tickets were set up and sold via Ticket Tailor.
Synchronised swimming event
The wonderful Donna Cooney and her team of synchronised swimmers trained hard for several months during the summer of 2021 for a performance on 28th September at the Clontarf Baths. Donna fundraised for both Irish Hospice Foundation and St Francis Hospice raising almost €3k!

Set up an ‘In Memory Of’ Fundraiser
