Nurses for Night Care Appeal – John and Daisy
With no family and few close friends, John had just one final wish…
…She’d been there after he received his crushing, terminal diagnosis.
…She’d been there to comfort him through the pain, as his disease took hold.
…And now the end was near all John wanted was to die at home with his beloved little white dog, Daisy, beside him.
But with more referrals than ever to our Nurses for Night Care service, we’re counting on your generosity more than ever before for people like John.
The love of a best friend until the very end…
this is the gift you can give today.
Please, will you donate today so that another whose time is short, and precious, can die in their own home with the ones they love?
The Big Rugby Brunch – answer our call!
This autumn all eyes will be turning to Japan for the Rugby World Cup and we want you to be a part of the excitement. We know most of us won’t be travelling to the Far East, but we are sure you will be gathering friends, family and colleagues together to enjoy the matches. This is your chance to bring some of the tournament to Ireland whilst raising important funds to help people all over the country.
We are asking people to host a Big Rugby Brunch during the World Cup (Sept 20th – Nov 2nd ) for The Irish Hospice Foundation. The matches will be shown during the mornings, so why not organise a brunch for family, friends and colleagues either at home, at your local club or even at work?
We will send you a pack with invitations, poster, a collection box and information about our work. It couldn’t be easier – chose your match and remember, brunch can be as simple or as elaborate as you like! We hope you will have a great time and will ask people to give a donation in lieu of a cuppa and a bite to eat.
The Irish Hospice Foundation relies heavily upon voluntary funds to maintain our work and programmes. With your help we can continue to provide Nurses for Night Care who look after people in their own homes and can support those facing bereavement and loss. We have a wealth of programmes and services touching so many children, adults and families so your brunch could make a huge difference.
