Irish Hospice Foundation is hosting a free webinar: Grief & Bereavement during COVID 19 – Supporting Nursing Home Staff on Thursday 17th September from 2.30pm – 4pm as part of Palliative Care Week 2020.
The Covid-19 pandemic has had a profound effect on everyone. This is especially true for staff working in nursing homes and residential care facilities. Care staff develop close relationships with the residents that they care for and can experience grief and loss similar to when a family member dies. What is also very difficult for staff during this Covid-19 pandemic is the number of residents that are dying in a short time.
