MIRIAM DONOHOE ANNOUNCED AS EDITOR OF BOOK TO RAISE FUNDS FOR THE IRISH HOSPICE FOUNDATION

The Irish Hospice Foundation (IHF) today (22nd February) announced that accomplished journalist Miriam Donohoe is to be the editor of a new book it is developing to capture the magic of the gathering events that are taking place in Ireland during 2013.

 The book will feature stories from a variety of Gathering events that are taking place during the year as well as reflections on Ireland and what it means to be Irish from well-known personalities.  The publication will retail at €15 and will be available from the Autumn.

Sharon Foley, CEO of the IHF, commented: “We are delighted that Miriam has agreed to develop this book with us.  We know that with her talent and energy, we will continue the Irish Hospice Foundation tradition of publishing quality books which will reflect the best of Irish stories, events and creativity.”

The book will be the seventh in a series of highly acclaimed special projects produced by the IHF and which have raised about €4m for the national charity.  The Whoseday Book was published as a millennium diary for the year 2000. Art:pack was produced in the year 2001 and Peter & the Wolf followed in 2003, LifeStory in 2006 , Zest! in 2009 and The Thank You book in 2010.
