Our annual bereavement information evening, Living with Loss, is being held online this year on Thursday 8 December. It is free to attend, register here.
We know the past few years have been difficult and isolating and we want to provide connection and solace for all those grieving. So, whether you have experienced a bereavement this year or at an earlier time, or you are concerned about a child or friend who is grieving and wish to help, we encourage you to attend. We will share some reflections on bereavement and give information on the supports that are available
When: Thursday 8 December, 7:00-8.30pm
Where: Online via zoom
- When you register, you’ll receive an email to say you’ve registered. The zoom link will then be emailed to you before the event. Use this link to access the event. It will be open from 6.45pm.
- You can access Living with Loss on a computer or your mobile phone.
- Age Action have published easy to use guidelines on how to use zoom on your smartphone or computer.
- You will not be able to see or hear other attendees nor will they be able to see or hear you. You will only be able to see and hear the speakers.

Anne Tannam
Is the author of three poetry collections. The latest ‘Twenty-six Letters of a New Alphabet’ (Salmon Poetry) was published in 2021. Catherine Tierney
Catherine Tierney is an accredited Psychotherapist with a special interest in bereavement and loss (MIACP). She is a Clinical Development Coordinator in Education & Bereavement with the Irish Hospice Foundation and manages the Bereavement Support Line, a freephone service for anyone bereaved. She trained in Complicated Grief Therapy with the Centre for Complicated Grief in the USA and has worked in private practice for over 15 years.
Maura Keating
Maura is the National Coordinator of the Irish Childhood Bereavement Network (ICBN). Experienced professional with a demonstrated history of working in the non-profit sector with a specific focus on development of policy and supports for vulnerable children and families
