Forum 2021 is our 7th biennial national conference on dying, death and bereavement. During the pandemic, our expertise has been in demand more than ever. Forum 2021 will share what we and international experts have learned from this most demanding of times. This year it will take place online on Tuesday 5th and Wednesday 6th October 2021.
This year’s theme is ‘Are we the same? The art of losing and building back better’. Each day begins with a scene-setting keynote, while each afternoon offers an opportunity to explore a narrower focus through parallel breakout sessions where short presentations are followed by a panel discussion.
Death, dying, grief and loss affect everyone at some point in life. If you have been bereaved or affected by grief, are a professional working in this space or simply curious, come spend some time in generous company to be better prepared.

Overview
Day 1
Day 1 will challenge our thinking about dying. We will look at the way we care for people at the end of life and what is new, what is innovative, and what is emerging from the pandemic. What should every single one of us know about understanding and planning for the end of life?
Day 2
Day 2 will bring us together on grief and bereavement. We will concentrate on grieving and coping with loss, individually and as we return to work. We will learn from both personal experience and professional engagement.
