For 35 years, we have campaigned for change in how dying, death and bereavement are supported in Ireland.
Through effective positioning, good relationships, and working in partnership with others, we have influenced debate on many subjects, helped shape policy change and facilitated programme development.
We will continue to generate and articulate courageous, responsive, innovative and challenging policy positions. In consultation with our stakeholders, we will offer our national networks, strategic relationships and platforms to amplify our voices. Strategic research will inform our position.
Our key activities include:
- keeping all politicians, political parties and advisors fully informed on end-of-life issues including any new research we have conducted.
- directly engaging with parliamentary committees, task forces and government departments on issues related to dying, death and bereavement, including legislation, policy and funding.
- working with other organisations to bring about change and development.
- directly engaging with the public on issues which support people to live well until the end.
