A HUGE THANK YOU to everyone who supported The Mercury Engineering Race Day for The Irish Hospice Foundation on Saturday 28th February at Leopardstown Race Course.
Mary Harney, member of the Board of the IHF, Jean McKiernan, Chair of the Board, IHF, Sharon Foley, CEO Of the Irish Hospice Foundation, Minister for Health Leo Varadkar TD and Vivienne Jupp, board member IHF.
A particularly big thank you to our sponsors, Mercury Engineering
and to our voluntary Special Events Group who worked so hard to create such a wonderful day. To our 600+ guests – we thank you for your wonderful support and are delighted to tell you that you have raised around €80,000
for our work. We are simply thrilled with this and hope you all had a great day with us.
The event began with a drinks reception at 12, followed by a 3-course silver service luncheon. As well as the thrills of the racing guests were addressed by our Guest of Honour, Leo Varadkar TD and our MC Tracy Piggott.
There was great bidding for the auction lots which included signed Irish rugby jersey, a Philip Treacy hat, Claire Garvey and Helen Steel frocks, Graham Knuttel artwork, a five-star holiday, stunning diamond necklace, concert tickets and much more.
We are so grateful to everyone who generously donated these lots and our 25+ raffle prizes.
We are planning for our Race Day event to be an annual day – for details of how to get involved and join us in 2016 please call the Fundraising Team on 01 679 3188 or email firstname.lastname@example.org
