The newly established Irish Childhood Bereavement Network (ICBN) has appointed a Chair to its Advisory Panel. Brid Carroll, who is a Bereavement Counsellor, will guide the network in its initial stages and provide support to build and strengthen the availability of services for bereaved children in Ireland.
The ICBN network has also appointed Nuala Harmey, as Vice Chair. Nuala is a Social Worker, working in the area of childhood bereavement.
Nicola Jordan has been appointed as Coordinator to lead and grow the work of the network, working in collaboration with the advisory committee to manage the day-to- day operation, implementation, management and strategic direction of the network and its projects.
The ICBN is a hub for those working with bereaved children, young people and their families in Ireland. Our aim is to ensure that all children in Ireland, have access to a choice of high quality local and national information, guidance and support to enable them to manage the impact of the death and loss of their loved one.
